Available Grant Opportunities From The Midtown CDC
The Midtown CDC has funding opportunities available for homebuyers that are looking to move into the neighborhood, existing homeowners, business owners, and more! Please see our offerings and what it takes to qualify down below.
Storefront Improvement Grant
Grants of up to $5,000 can be provided to any Midtown business looking to enhance their storefront. Improvement grants can be used for window or door repairs/ improvements, signage, awnings, exterior lighting, etc.
Universal Business Micro-Grant
Businesses located within the Midtown Boundary are eligible to receive up to $3,000 as a micro-grant for various business improvements. Micro-grants can support the purchase of equipment, software, hardware or technological enhancements.
Street Scape / Adopt Flowerpot Grant for Businesses
Grants of up to $2,500 to be awarded to businesses who are interested in enhancing the area around their business/ organization through the addition of landscaping enhancements (i.e., flowerpots, tree planter, street scape improvements etc.).
Down Payment Assistance
Up to $20,000 of purchase price of a home is being offered to community members looking to buy a home within the Midtown Boundary. Requirements include meeting income criteria (household income may not surpass 150% Area Median Income) and having home serve as primary residence for a minimum of five years.
Home Improvement Grant for Homeowners
$25,000 is available to existing homeowners in Midtown for home improvement costs. This grant can be applied to both interior & exterior code-related rehab projects. These funds are stackable with the ACIA home repair program which would give existing homeowners the opportunity to receive up to 50,000 in home repairs.
Free Financial Counseling for Midtown Residents
Financial counseling classes are being offered within Midtown Atlantic City on various dates. Visit our calendar for upcoming classes. Class attendees will be extended the opportunity to participate in 1 on 1 financial counseling sessions offered to Midtown residents, free of charge.
New Jersey Economic Development Authority Funding
Our partners at NJEDA have many great resources for small businesses, non-profit organizations, real estate development projects, community redevelopment projects, and more.
